About Us

From the musings of our jewelry designer Diane G...

I have always been fascinated by the intricacies of everyday life.  How a breathtaking sunset over the ocean or the smile of a small child can instantly improve your outlook and mood.  I find inspiration for my jewelry in everyday things, from the beauty in nature to the precision in industrial design.  This is best articulated in my favorite poem, Design, by Robert Frost.

I have been making jewelry and lampwork beads for several years.  All of my pieces are limited addition or one of a kind.  I used only high quality materials in my jewelry, including glass, gemstones, sterling and fine silver, gold and pearls.  My philosophy is that jewelry should enhance your personality, not overwhelm it.  My pieces tend to be colorful, easy and fun to wear.

Design by Robert Frost, 1936

I found a dimpled spider, fat and white,
On a white heal-all, holding up a moth
Like a white piece of rigid satin cloth--
Assorted characters of death and blight
Mixed ready to begin the morning right,
Like the ingredients of a witches' broth--
A snow-drop spider, a flower like a froth,
And dead wings carried like a paper kite.

What had that flower to do with being white,
The wayside blue and innocent heal-all?
What brought the kindred spider to that height,
Then steered the white moth thither in the night?
What but design of the darkness to appall--
If design govern a thing so small.
